Web 2.0 Contributors

Web 2.0 is considered the media of tomorrow. And if you believe what you read, tomorrow is here today. With the wide range of social-media outlets available, who is actually contributing to the mix, and who is just reading, as they would with Web 1.0?

According to CMSWire and Hitwise, far fewer people are actually participating in the mix than you may think.
- 80-90% simply access sites without contributing to content
- 10-15% contribute in changing content (adding comments or tags, making minor edits, repurposing content)
- 1-5% create and add new content.
