Even the BBC Goes Web 2.0
December 20, 2007 – 1:26 pmThe new BBC Beta homepage (www.bbc.co.uk/home/beta) has distinct Web 2.0-ey features, like oversized fonts, bright colors, rounded corners… and of course, the ability to customize the page. You can drag and drop content blocks, as well as get localized content.
Is this truly the type of site that today’s web consumers are looking for? Do they really care where their weather widget is in relation to the blog widget?
Only time will tell.
